About My Boudoir Photography

Since most of my photography work is concentrated to the art of Boudoir I felt that I needed to address the issue in which it is overly portrayed as a sexual display. There are many images that people called Boudoir that are just showing off a woman’s boob or bottom side. This has led many women who would love to do a Boudoir shoot where they can be intimate hesitate to do a session. They feel too old or not in shape. I am here to tell it is not about shape or age.
In past seven-years I had have shot with women of all ages and sizes do sessions. This is not about what they look like naked. It is about their beauty. Whether posing in lingerie or wrapped in a sheet is to give an intimate feel. As I tell my client’s when you look at my images you are drawn to her eyes, not her butt. The image is about her and everything else is a compliment to her beauty. The image I am crafting is about her my client and nothing else.
I remember working with a Mother of five who thought no way she could get in front of a camera. Then after seeing her friend pose she decided to do a session. She had one word to say afterwards about how she felt. The word was “Empowered.” It gave me a clear perspective of what we had achieved. She could get in front of the camera and feel beautiful.
These women that you are seeing in this blog are Mothers with grown children. They would kill me if I revealed their ages. As professional I have to respect their wishes and limit what I can post. The one thing I do offer is discretion. Many of my clients requested totally privacy. Therefore, I will never share by honoring their request.
